A True Mother

Everyone has a mother, but few have a true mother.
Not all mothers are true ones, and it is easy to tell the difference.

All mothers have children; one, or two, or three, or more!
All mothers eat, and sleep, and dream, and love.

But only true mothers love unconditionally,
as unconditionally as is humanly possible.

When their children do something wrong mothers get mad,
but true mothers just get sad.
They are disappointed, and they tend to think it is their fault that their children are misbehaving.

Most mothers take care of their children, but only as much as they have to.
True mothers want their children to be happy, and they find joy in taking the best care of their children.

Most of all, true mothers love Jesus, and they teach their children to love Him too.
When people meet the children of true mothers they wonder how on earth they became so well behaved, and loving Jesus is the key.

I have a true mother, and when I grow up I want to be a true mother just like her.

I love you Mom-darling!
