Quotation Tuesday

"Your life is the only Bible some people will ever read." -Rev. Dr. David McElrath (my pastor)

Does your life display the love of Christ? If not, then some people will never see that genuine and glorious love. Does your life portray God's hatred of sin and unrighteousness? If not, then some people will never understand the great consequences of their iniquity. Does your life reflect the great patience that God has while waiting for us to run to him? If not, then some people will think it is "too late" to come to the Saviour. Does your life continually pour forth the humbling and awe-inspiring message of the Gospel? If not, then some people will never be humbled to repentance, or wonder at the amazing sacrifice made for them. Does your life...?

There are so many things I could ask, but as you read the Word of God take the initiative to ask them to yourself. Does my life reflect this trait, or this message? Knowing that our lives are the only Bible some people may ever read may encourage us to make sure that our lives accurately and constantly reflect the message of God's Word.
