Be a Witness

Dancers are some of the hardest people to witness to. For reasons mentioned in my post Scarcity of Christian Dancers they do not seem to be open to the gospel. Do not shove your beliefs down their throat, that never works! I have found that the easiest and most effective way to be a witness to my fellow dancers (or anyone else for that matter) is to do what the Lord commands in Matthew 5:16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven. Jesus Christ lives within you, you are a shining example of His love and grace! Do not hide that light under a bushel, let it shine so brightly that others will not be able to deny that there is something different about you. It may take some time, but after a while their curiosity will win them over and the Lord will start to soften their hearts. The Lord will show you the right time to share and He will give you the words to say. It is also possible that you will only plant a seed in their heart and that it will be someone else who ultimately leads them to salvation. As with all things, never give up, persevere in the way of the Lord and not only will others lives be changed, but you also will grow in your faith. Jesus is the light and we are the vessel, may we grow to contain the fulness of Him.
