"Is the Lord's hand shortened?"
Is it thy place, Christian, to doubt the Lord? Is His hand shortened in the face of your need? Will He draw it away in time of dire necessity? Nay, He alone knows what we are in need of, and how to provide it for us. Do not doubt as Moses did. When the Lord promised meat for the children of Israel Moses asked, "How, Lord? Must we kill all of our livestock in order to eat meat for so long?" The Lord then asks His question. "Is the Lord's hand shortened?" Indeed, when He has promised he will not turn back on His promise. Where he has pledged to provide, He will not fail. His counsel shall stand, and he shall do all His pleasure. Do not doubt thy Saviour, Christian. Do not doubt the provision of thy Father's gracious hand. Do not test Him with questions, rather wait, and 'taste and see that the Lord is good.'
