School: A Blessing or A Curse?

I have heard it said that to some school is a punishment, to others a reward. What is it for you? Do you begin school each day excited and eager to learn something new? Or do you dread the thought of assignments and homework? Proverbs 8:10-11 says; Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. The Lord values wisdom, it is important to Him because it is one of His attributes. If we are being transformed little by little into His likeness our love of wisdom should be growing. Are you seeking wisdom? Do you love instruction? Algebra, Spanish, Grammar, you doubt you will ever employ what you've learned in these subjects in "real" life. But the author of Proverbs says that wisdom and knowledge are better than rubies and he doesn't specify which kind of knowledge. Learn all you can while you can, but don't learn it and forget it. Learn it and apply it, whatever it may be. By applying knowledge it becomes wisdom.

Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7
