Well, you might say that God is the Creator of the universe, you might say He is omnipotent, omnipresent, He is Jesus who died on the cross to save us from our sins. But does that really answer the question? Does that really describe God?
A song I heard the other day said that if all the seas were ink and all the sky parchment, the oceans would be dry and the sky filled before we could even come close to describing all that God is! Human words are not enough to explain the greatness and majesty of our God. If that does not blow your mind, this will. That God, that awesome, powerful, to-big-to-describe God LOVES YOU!!! And not only does He love you, He has revealed Himself, He has shown Himself to you. He reveals himself through His creation and through His Word. Why?, why would a God that awesome, that powerful, take the time to reveal Himself to us when we do not even have the words or understanding to know who He is? Simply, because He loves us, He knows us so perfectly and He wants us to know Him that way as well.
Do you Know God? These next few weeks we are going to look at the two ways in which God has revealed Himself to us:
1) Creation
2) His Holy Word
With the help of the Holy Spirit we can begin to know God!
